Portsmouth's administrator Andrew Andronikou is hoping to be able to persuade manager Avram Grant to remain at Fratton Park beyond the end of the season.
Grant has won praise from many quarters for his efforts at the Premier League's crisis club, helping Pompey reach the FA Cup final with a 2-0 Wembley win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Andronikou told the Daily Mirror:"I plan to sit down with Avram and ask him to stay on.
"He has a contract that runs on, but it has break clauses, so I couldn't blame him if he took up one of the offers likely to now come his way.
"However, I plan to entice him to stay on. He has brought success to this club and, because of that, he will be a wanted man both in this country and abroad.
"But I haven't given up hope of keeping him here – far from it."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
