West Ham United were dumped out of the FA Cup by League One side AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.
Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini selected a strong XI for the fourth-round clash, but League One’s bottom club recorded a 4-2 victory to send the Premier League club packing.
In the aftermath of the loss, Michail Antonio insisted that the players would be ready for this week’s Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, the interview published on whufc.com and West Ham’s official Twitter account, did not go down very well with the club’s supporters.
Such interviews never go down well in these circumstances and not too many of the fans welcomed Antonio’s words ahead of the clash with Wolves.
Indeed, a number of the supporters criticised the 2015 arrival’s words, whilst others were keen to have a go at the 28-year-old, who has been a regular in the starting XI in recent months having been in and out of the team earlier in the campaign, as per Transfermarkt.
