A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to social media to lavish praise on Enzo Maresca, who turned 40 years old on Monday.
The former Italy Under-21 international, who was most recently assistant manager to Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United, turned out for West Brom as a player between 1998 and 2000 before joining Juventus.
Maresca also represented the likes of Fiorentina, Sevilla and Olympiacos during a well-travelled career which ultimately ended at Verona in 2017.
Who the heck is that?! Can you name all of these obscure West Brom players…
It might have been a long time since the former midfielder represented the Baggies, but the Championship club’s fans still fondly remember him judging by their comments on social media.

Meanwhile, another fan said it was a “shame” that the Baggies never saw the best of Maresca, who started his professional career at the Hawthorns.
He actually went on to win Serie A with Juventus, in addition to the Copa del Rey and two UEFA Cups during his time with Sevilla.
A number of the club’s supporters were also delighted with what they saw from one player in particular against Millwall at the weekend.
