Greenwood did not have a quiet game and managed four shots on goal against Sevilla although he only tested goalkeeper Orjan Nyland once. Ramos got the visitors' noses in front in the fifth minute, turning in a corner from Marcus Acuna. The match was played in an ill-tempered atmosphere and was stopped in the second half for a few moments after Getafe fans were reportedly heard calling Argentina international Acuna a monkey. Sevilla boss Quique Sanchez Flores – who has managed Getafe on three occasions – also claimed that the Getafe fans had called him a gypsy.

Greenwood's next game for Getafe is away to Madrid neighbours Rayo Vallecano on April 13. The forward's one-year loan with Getafe is winding towards a close and Manchester United must decide whether to extend it, recall him to Old Trafford or sell him permanently. Getafe coach Jose Bordalas has insisted he does not know whether or not the player will remain with his side next season.
