Liverpool fans have yet another reason to love in form full back Andrew Robertson, after the Scotsman sent a signed shirt to a young fan, but not his own!
Robertson has been in fantastic form since breaking into the team at Anfield. His £8million move from Hull last summer was met with some trepidation from Liverpool fans, who wanted a big sum splashed out on what had been a problem position for years.
The left back made a slow start to his Liverpool career, as Jürgen Klopp worked him into the style and shape that he wanted him, but he has taken over from Alberto Moreno and hasn’t looked back.
Now, the 23-year-old has endeared himself to fans even further, after reaching out to a young fan. Alfie Radford gave his pocket money to a local foodbank, leading the Scotsman to send a personalised letter and signed shirt to the young Red.
Robertson thanked the young fan for the donation, and sent him a signed shirt from Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, because “no one wants the left back’s shirt.”
Liverpool fans are absolutely loving the gesture from Robertson, with some even suggesting he’s captain material! Some of the best Twitter reactions can be found below…
