Leeds United haven’t had the best of luck when it comes to injuries this season.
Indeed, Adam Forshaw has been out for months at this point, while Tyler Roberts and Jamie Shackleton have also suffered problems in recent weeks.
Unfortunately, things haven’t improved on that front as Adam Pope confirmed that U23s star Ryan Edmondson would be out for two months as he requires knee surgery.
It’s a shame to see a young player of Edmondson’s talent suffer an injury like this – the striker netted 20 goals for Carlos Corberan’s side last term, and at his age, he could do with as much football as possible to continue developing.

A number of fans offered their sympathies for Edmondson, wishing him well and showing empathy.
Other supporters took this as an opportunity to have a little tongue-in-cheek jab at Marcelo Bielsa regarding Jean-Kevin Augustin.
The fanbase weren’t happy when the Frenchman was left out of the matchday squad on Saturday, and just two days later he turned out for the U23s.
Some joked that Augustin will now be a permanent fixture in the youth side after Edmondson’s injury, seemingly venting their frustrations at Bielsa for not handing him a first-team debut yet.
Others were rather unmoved by the news as they correctly stated that Edmondson wouldn’t get a chance in the team even if he was fit.
He’s not appeared on the bench all season, and Phil Hay has recently suggested that he may not have a future at the club, so these fans are probably right in their views.
Meanwhile, it may be time for Marcelo Bielsa to revisit a tactic that worked very well against Arsenal.
