Leeds’ search for a striker continues but arguably becomes a more pressing concern after the events of Saturday, which saw the Whites stretch their poor run to one win in eight games.
A 1-0 defeat to QPR could have been a lot different had Patrick Bamford taken either of the two golden chances he was presented with either side of half-time, first blazing a one-on-one over the bar before seeing his penalty saved.
That underlines the need for a natural finisher in this Leeds team, which they lost when Eddie Nketiah was recalled by Arsenal.
Since then Che Adams is a name that has been heavily mentioned in a possible move to West Yorkshire, but with Southampton seemingly unwilling to let him leave attention has reportedly turned to Andre Gray, a man who many Leeds fans are keen on.
It is easy to see why. The 28-year-old may have stalled since his move to Watford with 16 goals in 88 games but prior to that he was a prolific striker outside of the Premier League.
His 41 goals in 88 Championship appearances suggest he is exactly what Leeds need, while nine Premier League goals in a single season for Burnley show that he has the potential to serve the Yorkshire outfit solidly if he joined upon promotion.
However, with the points gap to third dropping even further on Saturday – now standing at four – the concern and need for a striker is greater than ever.
Virtually impossible: Can you name the year all of these Leeds flops arrived at Elland Road?
Some supporters are still talking about Adams, though, and debating whether that deal can be done ahead of Gray, though given the Saints’ stance it is probably best if fans moved on from that particular target.
Elsewhere, fans weren’t holding their back in their assessment of one individual after the match against QPR on Saturday.
