Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to the latest on Nabil Fekir, as the Lyon manager has had his say on the crazy summer saga.
Of all the bizarre phenomena that takes place during the transfer market, Liverpool’s move for Fekir was right up there as one of the weirdest transfer fails in recent history.
Every reputable journalist under the sun was certain the Reds had agreed a deal for the Lyon captain, only for the club itself to announce that negotiations had been cancelled.
While no one is quite sure which side pulled out first, why the deal fell through, or if it will happen in the future, Lyon’s manager has finally broken his silence on the matter.
“It is never easy accepting this kind of situation, when you are very near to signing for a club where you want to go,” Bruno Genesio said.

“Where you want to reach another level and to give a boost to your career.
“But as I said, it could have been worse for him. He is at Lyon, at a strong club, he is captain of a team who plays in the Champions League. This could be a very important season for Nabil.”
The 25 year-old is clearly disappointed the move didn’t happen, which is presumably good news for Liverpool fans.
